Public transport to IRIS
Getting by bus to Ullandhaug, Stavanger:
IRIS is situated close to the the University of Stavanger. There are bus stops for local and long distance buses (to and from Stavanger city centre, Sandnes and Egersund).
Bus lines 6, 7 and X60 from Stavanger
Bus 6 and X60 from Sandnes.
Bus 7 from Sola.
Bus E90 from Egersund (Hauge)
All these busses will stop at "Kjell Arholms Gate", which is the nearest bus stop to IRIS.

Getting from the airport to Ullandhaug, Stavanger:
Unfortunately there are no direct connections between the airport and IRIS. Hop on to a Airport bus (called "Flybussen").Get off at Granneskrossen, and shift over to bus 7 headed for Stavanger. Get off at the bus stop called "Kjell Arholms gate". [The most convenient option however, is probably to get a taxi.] | |
Getting by bus to IRIS at Mekjavik:
IRIS is situated close to the ferry wharf. Get bus 28 from Stavanger city centre, and get off at the stop called Mekjarvik.

Getting by public transport to IRIS in Bergen
IRIS is located at the premises of Høyteknologisenteret in Bergen.You can get the free bus ("Gratisbussen") from Bergen city centre. Get off at the stop called "VilVite".
The new city tram ("Bybanen") stops at Nygård, which is right outside IRIS. Schedule is available here
Regional busses also stops at respectively Danmarksplass and Bergen Storsenter.

Getting from the airport to IRIS in Bergen:
The airport bus stops at Danmarksplass and Bergen Storsenter, approx. 10 minutes walk from IRIS.
An alternative is to get a taxi or bus from the airport to Nestun, and hop on the to
the city tram ("Bybanen")
and relax all the way to Nygård, which is where you should get off for IRIS.
