Integration of decentralised micro power/heating facilities
IRIS is working on a project on integration of decentralised micro power/heating facilities. The aim is a better utilisation of the energy in the fuel (natural gas, diesel, oil, and bio-fuel). This results in less energy waste, better utilisation of the energy in the primary fuel, and therefore lower CO2 discharge per produced unit of power/heat.
This type of smart energy system will also function to build a bridge to increased use of renewable energy, as renewable and non-renewable power sources can be integrated into the same system, paving the way for a gradual conversion to more viable energy.
