E-communication facilities - online with Svalbard

Biomiljø is online with the marine laboratory in New Ålesund, Svalbard. State-of -the art conference facilities with remote online information technology are installed at both locations. This creates unique possibilities for remote monitoring of environmental experiments and other arctic research activities in New Ålesund. Advanced, hand held, wireless cameras contributes towards effective distance training & learning for personnel at each end of the line.

The research will contribute to a better understanding of arctic animals in their normal environment.
