Dissemination related projects
TCP – Total Communication Project
An objective of the project is to promote the process of long term implementation of biomarkers in environmental monitoring activities within the offshore industry. The project aims to promote dissemination, including peer-reviewed publication of Biomarker research from Biomiljø projects and other findings related to environmental offshore industry topics.
ICES – International Council for the Exploration of the Sea
Participation in working group: Biological Effects of Contaminants. Annual workshops have been arranged including discussion of methods and harmonization of advisory to over national commissions (OSPAR. MEDPOL, HELCOM) for maritime areas.

Competence building & transfer of knowledge:
Educational activities
IRIS-Biomiljø is presently involved in an active collaboration with the University of Stavanger to develop new student education courses within the field of environmental science, ecotoxicology and biomarker research.
Student projects & work done by guest researchers are commonly organised in connection to on-going contracted research or competence building programmes.
Akvamiljø has hosted Master- and PhD research fellows and Post Doctoral scientists.
JUMP – Russia/Norway
Collaboration project on developing a joint Norwegian-Russian master education program on environmentally sustainable exploration of oil and gas resources in arctic regions.
